Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana is a Government of India programme created to accelerate agriculture and allied-sector development in 100 selected districts. It was approved for six years beginning in 2025-26 and uses convergence rather than creating one blanket cash payment for all farmers.
The programme selects districts using indicators such as low agricultural productivity and low cropping intensity. District plans bring together 36 existing schemes across 11 departments along with State initiatives and local partnerships. The official dashboard tracks objectives covering productivity, crop diversification and sustainable practices, post-harvest storage, irrigation, and better governance and service delivery.
Depending on the district plan and underlying schemes, farmers can benefit from improved irrigation, crop diversification and sustainable farming support, better post-harvest storage, technology and extension support, and coordinated delivery of agriculture and allied-sector services. There is no single fixed subsidy amount for every farmer under PM-DDKY.
The primary geographic condition is that the farmer or intervention falls within one of the 100 districts selected for PM-DDKY. Actual eligibility for a specific benefit is governed by the underlying converged scheme and district plan.
There is no single PM-DDKY document checklist for every intervention. The relevant department may require identity, land or cultivation records, crop details, or documents prescribed by the underlying scheme.
- Documents depend on the specific converged agriculture scheme or intervention used in the selected district
- Farmer, land, crop and identity records may be required by the underlying scheme
First check whether your district is among the PM-DDKY target districts on the official programme resources. Then contact the district agriculture office or the department responsible for the relevant intervention. Application or beneficiary selection follows the underlying converged scheme and approved district plan.
The Union Cabinet approved PM-DDKY for six years beginning in 2025-26, and the national launch took place on 11 October 2025. Component-level windows vary by district and underlying scheme.
Do not confuse PM-DDKY with PM-KISAN or describe it as a universal direct cash transfer. Do not claim that every farmer in India can submit one common application.
Verify your district first, then identify the exact underlying scheme or intervention and follow the responsible department's current process.
